Special Request to Donate Leave to Employee
This is a special request for donated leave for Janet Lee, a PDP analyst currently in EWIS. Janet became suddenly ill last August and her condition has not improved following months of treatment. Her doctors have advised her to give the treatment more time to work in hopes of avoiding risky surgery. Janet has nearly exhausted all options for acquiring leave, including advanced sick leave and FMLA. Please consider donating annual leave to Janet in order to enable her to focus on getting better. For further information, contact Sara Olds at oldss@gao.gov or 202-512-9648.

IFPTE National President Joins President Obama's National Council Labor-Management Relations
Congratulations to IFPTE President Greg Junemann, who has been appointed by President Obama to a national council charged with improving labor relations in the federal sector. The National Council on Federal Labor-Management Relations was created in 2009 by executive order . The Council is tasked with advising the President on matters involving labor-management relations in the executive branch. In addition, the order creates a labor-management forum in every executive branch agency, so that employees can help improve the productivity and effectiveness of the Federal Government, and allow managers and employees to collaborate in continuing to deliver the highest quality services to the American people.
