Houston, we have lift-off! - Union Completes Negotations with Management on Master Collective Bargaining Agreement
The Union bargaining team completed negotiations with Management and reached tentative agreement on a comprehensive master Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) on October 31st. The CBA covers all aspects of working conditions at GAO and emphasizes a commitment to work/life balance, diversity, and workplace flexibilities in carrying out the work of GAO. This agreement demonstrates that employees now have a seat at the table in a meaningful way. Employees and managers listened to each other, resulting in a constructive relationship both sides worked hard to develop. Thanks to everyone who provided input and contributed to the CBA process!
The CBA will cover all employees in the bargaining unit, however, only dues paying members get to vote on its ratification (so consider joining, if you’re not a member). We are anxious to share the CBA in its entirety with all employees in the bargaining unit, however, it must first go through editing and formatting, and be considered by the Assembly. We will provide more information about the CBA in the coming weeks. Once the CBA is available to the bargaining unit, we will schedule information sessions regarding the CBA and provide ways to answer your questions about it.
Remember: only Union members can vote on this agreement, so click here to join.
